Plant Maintenance is the free Department of Energy job. You spawn with a wrench and earn XP by repairing plant equipment. Logistical Operations opens at 8,000 Plant Maintenance XP, or through the 100 Robux logistics gamepass. Reactor work comes after that.
First repairs
- Join Plant Maintenance from the team menu.
- Equip the wrench and look for damaged feedwater pumps, external transformers, steam turbines, pipes, and junction boxes.
- Finish the repair interaction on the broken part. One writeup says a maintenance cycle restores 25 durability on feedwater, transformers, and turbines.
- Stay on this team until the team screen shows 8,000 XP if your next goal is logistics.
The Plant Operations Chief, one player per server at 600,000 Plant Maintenance XP, can mark a system as the priority. People who repair that marked area get a 30 percent XP boost. The chief also gets an executive radio for markers. You do not need that role to learn the map.
What to ignore on day one
Do not enter the control room and start moving rods. Reactor Operations is a later unlock, and an untrained rod change can overheat the core for the whole server. Do not treat a promo code as a substitute for the repair loop. Codes, when they redeem, add XP or a booster. They do not teach the wrench route.
Next unlock
At 8,000 Plant Maintenance XP, open Logistical Operations and read the refueling guide. The fuel run is the normal bridge between repairs and the control room. If a Plant Operations Chief is marking feedwater or turbines, repair those first while the boost is up.
Published Plant Maintenance ranks on one progression page are Intern at 0 XP, Junior Technician at 500, Technician at 2,000, Senior Technician at 4,000, Supervisor at 20,000, Head at 50,000, and Head of Plant Operations at 100,000.
